The Upper Mugu Karnali Hydroelectric Project (UMKHEP) is a peaking run-of-river (PRoR) hydropower project proposed along the Mugu Karnali river in Mugu district of Karnali Province in Nepal. The design discharge of the plant is 90.2 Cumecs. The plant, which is in a surface powerhouse shall utilize a maximum gross head of 420.35 m between maximum operation level of 2281.6 msl.
